When on a mission, they wear porcelain demon-masks of ghostly white to hide their identities and as a symbol of the pact their clan made with the demon-spirits.

Today ghost-faced killers act as assassins and spies for hire, a mercenary clan that hides behind a guise of open and honorable conduct. No one ever discovered the clan?s honorless actions, and to this day, no one knows what clan the ghost-faced killers came from. Donning terrifying masks to hide their identities, warriors of the clan crept into the imperial palace, and through the evil power of the pact they had made, passed invisibly and intangibly into the imperial household and murdered the entire imperial family, plunging the country into bloody civil war once again. The clan members struck a dark bargain, and the demon-spirits they had contacted provided the clan with a means to the bloody ends they desired. Through sorcery, the spellcasters of the clan beseeched dark spirits to reveal a way that their clan might survive the coming strife and take revenge on the emperor who sought to crush them. Their lawful natures make them excellent team players, another important skill for a good fighter.Long ago, a persecuted clan of dangerous warriors sought a way to take revenge against their oppressors. As such, a Goliath fighter not only has natural benefits, which are highly useful but also a strong drive to become the "best" fighter among his kin. Goliaths are a giant-race who live in the mountains and rocky hills, and who are highly competitive. My choice: With +2 Strength, +1 Constitution and Stone´s endurance make Goliaths great fighters. Their job is to kill and kill quickly, but they must also be able to follow orders and work in large armies. Neither particularly intelligent, nor skilled in other tasks, fighters are experts in all types of combat, and their entire lives are lived in the perfection of their craft. Fighterīest Stat Based Choice: Human, Goliath or Dwarfįighters are the shock troops of Dungeons and Dragons. Instead, I've arranged the combos from most popular to least popular class, as determined by the D&D Beyond list of most popular character classes and races.

So I am not discussing why humans are the best race to play. Also, in 5e, Humans are the most advantageous race of all with a +1 on all their statistics.

In my search for the best combos of race/class, I found a great deal of debate and very few facts, so these combos are based, in part on game mechanics, but mostly on my own opinion. Please also note that I am using all the expansion races.

Please note that I am not including multi-class or specialist classes, only the basic ones. That is perfectly progressive, and so, to celebrate this racial diversity, I present to you my choices for the best race to be played for every class in D&D. Monsters who previously had room only as NPCs, now can become part of the adventure permanently and become the star of the show. The 5th Edition of Dungeons and Dragons has introduced some fabulous chances to play different races as Player Characters.
